As our world changes, so do our modes of communication. At Lees-McRae College we prepare our students to be collaborative professionals, offering a unique combination of theory, creativity, practical skill, and technological expertise. All Communication Arts and Design majors are required to take courses in various media rooted in a strong core curriculum with access to a state of the art Mac lab with industry standard software, photo lab and art studio. Students select a concentration in Communication Arts, Art and Design or Creative Marketing, participate in internships and conduct senior research to ensure that they are informed, educated and motivated to reach their artistic potential.
The Communication Arts concentration is designed for students interested in graphic design, advertising, web development, film and video. Coursework within this concentration focuses on four distinct areas: fine art, digital design, writing, film and video.
