Audition and Scholarship Details

Prospective students interested in pursuing the Musical Theatre, BFA program must audition. Auditions may take place prior to enrollment at LMC or within the first academic year.

All students interested in Performing Arts Studies, Musical Theatre or Theatre Arts Education may audition for scholarships. Performance based merit scholarships range from $1,500 to $5,000 and may be combined with other academic merit scholarships. Students should visit campus during an Open House or contact Admissions to schedule an audition.

Preparing for your Audition

For your audition, you should prepare:

60 second fully memorized monologue
if you are a singer: 1-2 songs (Faculty will choose which song will be performed. An live accompanist is provided or you may use a recorded version.)
You will be taught a brief dance/movement sequence

For a technical interview, you should prepare:

Portfolio (if available)
References
Resume

Auditions are conducted in the Performing Arts Studio Building (under the college bookstore in the center of campus).
