Birth-Kindergarten

The Bachelor’s Degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education can be earned over the course of two years of full-time evening study (four semesters plus one summer session). Classes take place twice a week.

This program is fully accredited by SACS and NCDPI.

For students who have already obtained BOTH an AAS in Early Childhood and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a B-K Add-On can be obtained in one semester consisting of 18 hours of coursework.

Career Opportunities

Graduates are prepared to be licensed to teach in the NC Public Schools. Other job opportunities include teaching in public or private pre-K classrooms, teaching in a child care center or providing childcare resource and referral services.
