Services to Off Campus Students

The James H. Carson Library of Lees-McRae College is pleased to provide off-campus students with a variety of services, including access to the Library’s Online Catalog and other electronic resources, delivery of books and journal articles, and reference help by phone, fax, and Email.


Electronic Resources - Available through the Library’s Web page at:

  • Online Catalog - Contains books located not only at LMC but also at any of the other libraries in the Mountain College Library Network (MCLN), including Mars Hill, Montreat, Warren Wilson, Lenoir Rhyne, and Brevard.
  • Access to databases from off-campus locations is via proxy services. Use the link off-campus database access to view the menu of available databases.
  • NCLive Databases - Over 50 databases and 5,500 full-text journals. (Please contact the Library or your instructor for current password and user ID.)

Document Delivery

Off-campus students may request books or articles by Email, fax, or phone. Information provided should include student’s name, address to which item should be sent (physical address or fax number), and all information about the item requested, exactly as it appears in the source of reference (Online Catalog, index, etc.).
