May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to participate in Bald Eagle release November 20

Nina Fischesser, director of the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, will be releasing a bald eagle at Lake James this Friday. She rescued the eagle from the lake in September and transferred the bird to the Carolina Raptor Center for treatment. The eagle has recovered and was approved for release on November 20.

The release will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Paddy’s Creek Swim Beach at Lake James State Park. All are welcome to attend.
